Figure 24. Areas recommended for the subsequent study.

The work, jointly performed by NATI Research Oy and Geological Survey of Finland (GTK), was aimed at testing and approving the novel exploration CROCS Technology, that is, a Technology of Correct Reflection of Ore Component Structure (©NATI Research).

As it is described in "CROCS Technology", the approach of the Technology starts from setting up the identity factor (IF) and exploration parameters. Due to some limitation, only some parts of the Technology were tested, but not the whole Technology as it is. However, the results allow showing the difference of IFs of CROCS technology (IF vary from 40% and higher, depending on the element of interest) and conventional litho-geochemistry (IF vary from 15% and lower, depending on the element of interest).

As the result of CROCS Technology elements application on Savukoski area in Finland, the recommended (perspective) localities for further exploration were shown with IF=85% for base metals, IF=70% fro gold and IF=45% for PGEs. Fig. 24 shows recommended localities within the Savukoski area where exploration can and should be continued. The specification of exploration work recommended by NATI Research OY for each local area and their boundaries are given in the Figure in different colors.

Acknowledgements

NATI Research OY and authors of the present report express they gratitude to the Geological Survey of Finland for cooperation. Professional discussions that repeatedly appear provided a thorough and critical analysis of different approaches and found reflection in the present report. As a result of concerned discussions, the main aim, that is to demonstrate advantages of the CROCS Technology for raising exploration efficiency, has been reached. The authors cherish a hope that the positive experience of CROCS Technology testing will be used in GTK practical activities at all stages of the Survey Process in accordance with the Confidentiality Agreement.
